Synopsis: I’m Not What You Want has garnered an unique commercial success as an experimental gay short film from Hong Kong. Ricky was kicked out of his home because of his homosexuality, and takes refuge in the home of his friend Mark. Living under the same roof, these youths realize they have more in common than they thought. The film offers a fresh look at teen love and sexuality in Hong Kong. It’s a film that seeks to challenge some taken-for-granted social values in the hetrosexual world. In this film, there is no “gay” or “straight,” only love, different kinds of LOVE that happen between people – Ricky and Mark, Ricky and Olivia, Mark and Mable.
